Enrolments (Priority Enrolment Area)

Chapman Primary School follows the Department of Education and Training Policies and guidelines. Each ACT public school gives priority to the enrolment of children living in its Priority Enrolment Area (PEA).

Chapman Primary School is located in the suburb of Chapman in Weston Creek. It services the priority enrolment area (PEA) of Chapman and shares the priority enrolment area of Rivett and Stirling with Duffy and Arawang Primary Schools.

Families wishing to enrol their child at Chapman Primary School apply to the school by using the online enrolment form.

Priority is given to families who reside in the priority enrolment area.  Families who reside outside of our PEA are welcome to submit an online enrolment, however, out of area offers are only made if places are available.

Further information is available from the Enrolment section of this website and the Department of Education's Website. Enrolling/Transferring - ACT Public Schools

To enrol in an ACT public school you are required to submit an online enrolment via the above website. For further information download the departmental policy on Enrolling/Transferring - ACT Public Schools

Equity Fund

All government schools have established an Equity Fund to ensure access and equity in the provision of education. The fund supports the needs of students who might not otherwise be in a position to take advantage of the opportunities provided by their schools.

Excursions

Excursions are an integral part of the education program at Chapman Primary School. Through excursions, students benefit from enriching experiences which enhance their educational program by giving them direct access to skills, knowledge and understanding they need to relate to their social and environmental surroundings. Experiential learning of this type is invaluable for integrating the education experience within the wider community. School uniform must be worn when students attend these activities.

A bus levy is sought from parents at the beginning of the school year to cover the transportation costs of excursions. Excursions may also incur other costs which may or may not be included in the program requirement costs to be paid each year.

Excursion Medical Permission

It is the responsibility of the parent to notify the school of any medical issues and/or medications that their child is taking. All students attending an excursion must have a current Excursion Medical Permission form completed. If the information that you provided on your child's 2015 Excursion Medical Information form has changed since the beginning of this year (eg medications) please complete a new form for your child prior to this excursion.

The Excursion Medical form is available from the front office or Excursion Medical Permission Form.
