Mobile Phones and Personal Communication Devicers

Mobile Phones and Personal Communication Devicers

Chapman Primary School recognises that for safety reasons students may need to be in contact with their parents, carers or guardians outside of school hours.

  • If there is a need to bring a mobile phone to school, it should be switched off before entering the school grounds and placed in your child's schoolbag.
  • At 9:00 am the phone is to be handed in to the classroom teacher or kept in the schoolbag and is not to be used during the day.
  • If a parent, guardian or carer needs to make urgent contact with their child during the school day please contact the school on 6142 2400 and the message will be relayed to your child/child's classroom teacher immediately.
  • If your child has the need to contact you during the school day they can do this by talking to their classroom teacher who will allow them to go to the front office. Front office staff will make contact with you.
  • Children found to be using their phone during school hours will be requested to hand their phone to the teacher. Arrangements for collection of the phone will be made by the executive teacher directly with the parent, carer or guardian.
  • No liability will be accepted by the school in the event of loss or damage of a mobile phone.
